// SERVICE: IMPLEMENTATION & MIGRATION
From decision paper to running platform – without flying blind
The direction is set – now it needs to be built. We stand up your target platform and migrate dashboards, alerts and instrumentation in waves, in parallel operation: the old system stays active until the new one demonstrably matches it. Sign-off is against parity, not against assurances.
- Migration in waves: each wave a completed deliverable – no team loses visibility along the way
- Dashboard and alert parity as the acceptance criterion – verified by you, not by us
- OpenTelemetry as the target instrumentation where it fits: the last vendor lock-in you retire
- Success guarantee: if we don't reach the agreed acceptance criteria, it comes at our expense – noticeably so; the terms are set out transparently in your contract
First step: a short, free intro call – directly with a senior consultant, no sales chain. No strings attached – you decide afterwards.
The most common entry into this package is the decision paper from the Observability Strategy Workshop – its prioritised roadmap becomes the project plan here. Starting directly is equally possible if your target platform is already decided.
// HOW IT RUNS
Four phases, each with sign-off
1 · Execution plan
The roadmap or target picture becomes a wave plan: sequence by criticality, owners, acceptance criteria per wave – before the first component is built.
2 · Target platform build
Architecture, sizing, naming and tagging conventions, the alerting foundation – versioned as code, so every later change remains traceable.
3 · Migration in parallel operation
Dashboards, alerts and instrumentation move wave by wave. Old and new run in parallel, compared rule by rule – nothing is switched off until you have signed off.
4 · Sign-off & handover
Proof of parity, documentation, knowledge transfer to your teams – and a scheduled decommissioning plan including the licence exit for the old systems.
// AND AFTERWARDS
The platform stays sharp
After handover your team runs the platform itself – or we stay on board: as ongoing care with regular reviews and senior access. More on Managed Observability →

Frequently asked questions about implementation
The acceptance criterion is written into the proposal before the project starts – typically demonstrated dashboard and alert parity per migration wave, verified by you. If we miss it, we bear a significant part of the cost; the terms are set out transparently in your contract.
Realistically several months, in waves – depending on the number of applications, dashboards and alerts. Each wave delivers a completed, signed-off result; you get a solid timeline with the execution plan in phase 1.
No. It is the most common entry point because its decision paper shortens the execution plan. If your target platform is decided, we start directly with phase 1.
They run in parallel until parity is proven, and are then switched off according to plan – including notice periods and licence exit dates. The consolidation is only finished when the old invoices stop.
